The Malaysian University English Test (MUET) is a competency test administered by the Malaysian Examination Council to measure the level of English proficiency of students who intend to pursue degree courses in Malaysia. The MUET syllabus is specifically designed for students preparing for the MUET. The syllabus items reflect closely the requirement of the MUET and cover the four language skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, all of which will essential for the preparation of the MUET. The syllabus also incorporates language skills which will enable you to cope with the language needs when making the transition from secondary to tertiary education.
MUET is a test made up of four papers- Listening, Speaking, Reading Comprehension and Writing. The test measures your proficiency of the English language based on an aggregate score ranging from zero to three hundred (0-300). The aggregate scores are then banded into six levels of achievement.

haha..pening tak baca artikel atas tuh? fiq baca sikit2 je bak kata omputeh scan jek. hmm..today is hari yang paling genting buat kawan2 yang amek MUET. cemana?soalan susah tak? fiq? haaa..fiq tak amek muet. dah.coz dulu dah amek dah. if not mistaken,MUET ni compulsory untuk masuk U kan?takde MUET susah gak la nak masuk U.and MUET gak is salah satu prasyarat bergraduasi.
kalau kat USIM , minima BAND MUET untuk dicapai is 3..mana2 student USIM tak dapat band 3 dalam MUET takkan bergraduasi. kejam ke? tak la..ok je..coz penting kot penguasaan bahasa tuh :D. kawan2 dah lepas? fiq alhamdulillah dah lepas minimun requirement untuk grad kat USIM.

Band 6- Very good user (Aggregated score:260-300) Very good command of the language. Highly expressive, fluent, accurate and appropriate language: hardly any inaccuracies. Very good understanding of language and contexts. Functions extremely well in the language.
Band 5- Good user (Aggregated score:220-259) Good command of the language. Expressive, fluent, accurate and appropriate language but with minor inaccuracies. Good understanding of language and contexts. Functions well in the language.
Band 4- Competent user (Aggregated score:180-219) Satisfactory command of the language. Satisfactory expressive and fluent,appropriate language but with occasional inaccuracies. Satisfactory understanding of language and contexts. Functions satisfactorily in the language.
Band 3- Modest user (Aggregated score:140-179) Modest command of the language. Modestly expressive and fluent,appropriate language but with noticeable inaccuracies. Modest understanding of language and contexts. Able to function modestly in the language.
Band 2- Limited user (Aggregated score:101-139) Limited command of the language. Lacks expressiveness, fluency and appropriacy: inaccurate use of the language resulting in breakdown in communication. Limited understanding of language and contexts. Limited ability to function in the language.
Band 1- Extremely limited user (Below 100) Poor command of the language. Unable to use language to express ideas: inaccurate use of the language resulting in frequent breakdowns in communication. Little or poor understanding of language and contexts. Hardly able to function in the language.
